Healthcare Conferences

Welcome Message

CEODear Colleagues and Friends,

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the World Congress on Integrated Care (WCIC), to be held in Singapore from 7th to 9th November 2013.

Since our Inaugural Asian Conference on Integrated Care in 2011, I’m encouraged to note that the global healthcare community has made significant progress in implementing diverse and innovative care integration models. This Conference will be a moment of reflection for healthcare and social care professionals, practitioners, policymakers and researchers, to learn from these innovative care models, and the evaluation methodologies to assess the resulting outcomes, from around the world. It will also be an occasion to examine how fruitful collaborations can be struck between partners at local, national and international levels to build systems that seamlessly provide care for the whole community, including people with complex care needs.

This year, we have collaborated with the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC) and McKinsey & Company, to create a rich and comprehensive programme. The theme is “Act, Collaborate, Translate: The Global Response to Care Integration”, and shortened to starkly, “ACT!”, to emphasise the importance and urgency of care integration as a means to transform healthcare systems to better deliver cost-effective health care. Participants will be led through a thematic conference programme, through workshops and plenary sessions, to learn about current and emerging models that augment health outcomes through integration; and how the various actors in each system are finding new ways to work together or forge innovative partnerships with new sectors. A concluding segment will present the impact current efforts have on communities.

This conference will be a global platform for practitioners, leaders and senior management from health and social services, nurses, allied health professionals, community-based organisations and researchers to learn more about the latest developments and best practices in integrated care.

We look forward to welcoming you to this exciting conference!
